I'll point out those SDR applications to a few friends that have been playing with gnuradio and various things built on it. They seem worth a go. freedv looks interesting too. I've just acquired an FT-817, my first HF rig, so there's quite a few things I want to try out in that area. Thanks for pointing these packages out. I am seriously considering putting the effort in to create a hamradio blend (as in blends.d.o) and it's good to know what we already have for various areas, and especially what's being used.
