SB Live settings
Trying to get gMFSK running under Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy). Having trouble
finding the magic switch for the infamous "SB Live 5.1 Dell OEM [SB0220]"
(not a Dell OEM at all but I haven't pulled the card to get the real model
number from the S/N).
Anyway, alsamixer sees the builtin VIA 8237 as the primary card (see
below) but that's not what I'm using. I can see the SB with alsamixer
with -c 1, of course, but oh so many switches! Any ideas why I'm not
getting sound AT ALL (let alone to/from the radio)? Is there something I
need to do to tell the OS that the SB is "primary"?
I can, at least, key the radio via the RB+, so that part is good. And I
know the SB is good because I boot to XP to use MMTTY on RTTY.
cat /proc/asound/cards
