Desktop icon font color

Hi all,

 I am using nautilus version 2.18.3-1 version and I
want to change the text color of my icons on the
desktop, thus, I added a file as ~/.gtkrc-2.0 with
content,

style "desktop-icon"
 {
NautilusIconContainer::frame_text = 1
text[NORMAL] = "#000000"
NautilusIconContainer::normal_alpha = 0
}
class "GtkWidget" style "desktop-icon"

And now my desktop icon color is changed to black as
required but with a white background around the text
under the icons. I feel that teh normal_alpha value is
not accepted by my nautilus. If I am upgrading my
nautilus to version 2.20 the problem is solved, but i
dont want to do that since its upgrading my whole base
system including libc6 and glibc as its affecting my
other applications.

Can some one please give me a solution with nautilus
version 2.18-3 itself. Where am I going wrong ?

Help needed please.

Thanks & Regards,
