First, thanks for your work. Bug triage is a never-ending task, and help
is much appreciated.

You should mark them as closed with the sid version (or with the first
version that fixes the bug if you know it). They will still appear in
the BTS as being valid for sarge, but they should be closed anyway, as
the fix can't go into sarge.

I generally consider > 1 month without a reply to be enough. Depending
on the bug (e.g. if it needs complex action on the user's side), I can
wait for 3-4 months.

As upgrades from woody need to go through sarge, they won't be fixed.

Bug #280680 looks like a user error anyway (locally installed freetype
library).
