So which output plugin is selected in the XMMS prefs dialogue?

juk, noatun and Kaboodle are all KDE based, they all use the arts
sound server. So please look up sound server settings in the KDE
control center. "music player" is probably rhythmbox? Rhythmbox uses
gstreamer which can be configured by "gstreamer-properties"
