This libeel dependancy is pulled in via the dependancy for libnautilus (which is used for the nautilus view). Other applications that have a nautilus view will almost certainly depend on libeel, although that doesn't necessarily mean they use the code directly.
Yup, right you are. I was simply looking at Debian package dependencies, and I didn't notice this subtlety. I recant that part of what I said.
