Error on startup

Just wondering if anyone knows the reason for this harmless error I get each time I start up GNOME:

	"Error activating XKB configuration.  Probably internal X server problem."

As requested in the error dialogue box, the output of the two commands is as follows:

debian laptop:~$ gconftool -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb
layouts = [us]
model = pc105
overrideSettings = false
options = []
debian-laptop:~$ xprop -root | grep XKB
debian-laptop:~$

I can't find a single thing wrong with the functionality of my keyboard so I have no idea what the
problem is supposed to be.  (Even the Fn-arrow keys work to control screen brightness!).

I'm using XFree86 4.3.0, GNOME 58 and Linux 2.6.7 on a Dell Latitude L400 laptop.

TIA,

sebyte
