drastic File Chooser inconsistancies in Testing

I just noticed that half of the traditional GNOME applications (e.g. Gimp, GDM,
etc.) still use the old File Chooser with the Ximian patch.  For the sake of
consistancy, could everyone rebuild their packages with at least GTK 2.4.4?

Better yet, if all GTK2-based packages in testing could be rebuilt with the
exact same GTK version (be it 2.4.4 or 2.4.9) before Sarge release, that would
be immensely appreciated.
