Bug#242075: ftp.debian.org: Removal request for gnome-velocity.

Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi guys,

Upstream development for GNOME Velocity has ceased for the time being
and the webpage (http://velocity.sf.net/) is no longer operating. A
contributor (Erick Woods) on the project has informed me that his friend
and upstream author for Velocity (Kyle Davis) only has minimal net
access in his current situation and has also agreed with me that
gnome-velocity should be removed from Debian until development
recommences. At its current version, Velocity is still too raw to be a
fully fledged Nautilus replacement.

Thanks in advanced,
Andrew "Netsnipe" Lau
