Well, GNOME works ok without fam, afaict you just need it when you add
things to your install. Someone that knows to distinguish gnome and
gnome-core might as well know what fam is. If the general opinion is
that it belongs in gnome-core, let it be, but I'd like to hear more
people's view on this...
