I don't think that Debian will include this hack to metacity
package. It seems that metacity is many time slower (about 10x according
to some comments) with expocity.
The problems are due to some xfree's limitations (it'll be much better
with freedesktop's server).
freedesktop's server... the wait is long, but patience is a virtue...
BTW if you want to test it, there is some unofficial packages here :

Awesome! I just wanted to get my gnome to as advanced and polished as I
possibly can get. In other words, stable but good by today's standards. I'll
get the package(s) from that URL to play with them. Thanks for the info.
