Evolution and libssl.la
Since upgrading openssl to 0.9.6e-1 (from unstable) a week and a half
ago, building Evolution from CVS fails at this point:
/bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wunused
-Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -o test-calendar
test-calendar.o ./libemiscwidgets.a ../../e-util/libeutil.la
-rdynamic -L/usr/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lbonobo_conf -lbonobo
-lbonobox -lbonobo-print -lgtkhtml -lgal -lgnomeprint -lfreetype
-lgdk_pixbuf -lgnomecanvaspixbuf -lglade-gnome -lglade -lgnomeui
-lart_lgpl -lgdk_imlib -lSM -lICE -lgnome -lgnomesupport -lesd
-laudiofile -ldb -lgnomevfs -lxml -lz -lgconf-gtk-1 -lgconf-1 -loaf
-lORBitCosNaming -lORBit -lIIOP -lORBitutil -lgtk -lgdk -lXi -lXext
-lX11 -lm -lgmodule -lgthread -lglib -lpthread -ldl
mkdir .libs
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libssl.la'
make[3]: *** [test-calendar] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/disk1/src/evolution/widgets/misc'

Is this an evo configuration problem? Should the .la file be part of
the libssl deb? Is there a way I can generate it myself without rolling
my own (which I won't hesitate to do if necessary)?
Thanks,
Mike
