Christian,

I have everything up to date. This is what I've done. My sources.list
 points to ftp.us.debian.org/debian unstable.

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get dist-upgrade
apg-get install gnome

I still get the same messages. In the past, I have messed around with
installing and uninstalling gnome through garnome and perhaps maybe with
installing the woody version of gnome2(I can't remember).

But is there a way to debug this message? This error message I'm getting
doesn't seem detailed enough. Or should I wait? Have all the mirrors
stabilised?

thanks in advance everybody
wilmer
