I think not.

Using the testing-proposed-updates is more work for me. I don't see why
I would have to fuck up the desktop of every Gnome1/unstable user just
for the sake of it.

The file-roller package will stay as long as upstream is willing support
it. If there are bugs filed against it that neither me, nor upstream
can/are willing to fix, I'll reconsider. Meanwhile, it's staying there.
