Christian, have you got any plans in the near future for packaging a version of Sawfish compiled for Gnome2? I've been using Metacity so far and while I like it (especially how fast it runs), but it seems to have a couple of showstopper bugs as far as using it on my desktop are concerned - namely that it's not real stable and seems unable to actually get itself respawned by gnome-session2. Having your WM die and not restart because you changed a font isn't my idea of a fun time. ;) I am told that Sawfish isn't any more stable when compiled for Gnome2, but at least it's behaving with session management. If you're still a bit reluctant to work on this one soon, I do have some familiarity with the package (though I haven't played with its internals for more than a year now) and would not mind building a recent CVS version against Gnome2 libs for experimental. -- Joseph Carter <knghtbrd@bluecherry.net> You want fries with that? <Knghtbrd> you people are all insane. <Joey> knight: sure, that's why we work on Debian. <JHM> Knghtbrd: get in touch with your inner nutcase.
