Statusupdate slink GNOME release

Hi,

I did the installation test, and I didn't encounter any problems (just
fixed a description and added a dependancy to a task package).

I did an installation on slink with no GNOME installed, slink with
GNOME 0.3 installed and slink with parts of staging area
installed. Everything when remarkably smooth, no problem at all. But
we all know that users do things we could never think of, but there is
nothing more we can do about this :-)

I talked to Wichert, and for now we will distribute the update from
va, e.g. with the original sources.list line for the staging area. I
sent mail to Jay Treacy about setting an shorter alias to it. I also
have no answer yet about distribution on the Debian mirrors from Guy
Maor yet.

For the GNOME pages and distribution:

Paolo, could you sync the packages on the GNOME site? Do you know, how
long GNOME needs to update it's mirrors? I checked an european site,
and it was quite up-do-date. But UCLA doesn't even have to upload you
did some days ago.

How about the webpage I sent you? Does it work?

I have to repair my bike, then I will see what can be done about a
press release.

Ciao,
	Martin
