Bug#549236: nscd: runs away with memory, gradually
Package: nscd
Version: 2.7-18
Severity: important
Over time, nscd runs away with all available memory. It seems to take a week or two, but it will
gradually climb.
Currently, for example:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
17727 root 20 0 1955m 1.4g 1468 S 0 54.8 3:47.51 nscd
Some services are authing to Active Directory, some to local openldap. Unfortunately, I didn't notice
this happening until other things started going wrong, so I don't know when it started.
