Bug#549190: libc6: please allow to specify nameserver ports in resolv.conf
Package: libc6
Version: 2.9-26
Severity: wishlist
As more and more providers start to redirect traffic to port 53 to their own
nameservers for various reasons more and more people run nameservers on
different ports. While it is possible to use iptables and friends to nat
traffic to ports != 53, it would be more easy if it would be possible to
specify a port to use in resolv.conf.
Although I know that it may be a big pain to add such a feature, please think
about it and do so.
Thanks,
Bernd
