Interesting. I would have expected this to fail (since moving to libc6 2.9 fixed it), but rm -r ~/.frozen-bubble under libc6 2.7 runs fine.

I mean, is the bug dependant on your frozen-bubble configuration? One way to test this would be to create a new user and trying to launch frozen-bubble with it. Another way would be to try launching with your current configuration disabled.
