Bug#438449: tzdata: Failed to preconfigure

I've been getting a similar error (using aptitude via command line),
but it causes upgrading -- or installing new packages -- to fail:

  Preconfiguring packages ...
  Setting up tzdata (2007f-11) ...
  dpkg: error processing tzdata (--configure):
   subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 10
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   tzdata
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
  A package failed to install.  Trying to recover:

After a second try aptitude quits.

Any workarounds, or do I need to wait for 2007f-12?
