Bug#438449: 438449: tzdata preconfigure error

Same here. What, if anything, is the significance of the error?

Install log excerpts:
Preconfiguring packages ...
tzdata failed to preconfigure, with exit status 10

but later
Preparing to replace tzdata 2007f-10
(using .../tzdata_2007f-11_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement tzdata ...
Setting up tzdata (2007f-11) ...

User defined timezone, leaving /etc/localtime unchanged.
Local time is now: Tue Aug 21 16:19:17 PDT 2007.
Universal Time is now: Tue Aug 21 23:19:17 UTC 2007.
Run 'dpkg-reconfigure tzdata' if you wish to change it.

and the overall upgrade seems fine. My clock still seems reasonable.

I've been noticing a fair number of
Aug 20 12:33:03 corn ntpd[6401]: kernel time sync error 0001
messages recently. I think that's an ntp issue
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=426238). I mention it
on the chance it's relevant here. Note that the increased frequency of
time sync errors preceded the tzdata upgrade that gave the error shown
above.

Also, before the upgrade, I got an email message that appeared to be
from one hour in the future after adjusting for it's claimed UTC+2 time
zone. I assumed the sender was misconfigured, but I mention it in case
it's a clue.
