Package: linux-kernel-headers
Version: 2.5.999-test7-bk-16
Severity: normal
File: kernel-headers

The VMWare (version 4.5.2-8848)configuration program (vmware-config.pl)
fails system when using a kernel-headers package.

The following error message is given:

--- <snip> ---
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.26-1-686-smp'
Makefile:266: arch/i386/Makefile: No such file or directory
Makefile:549: Rules.make: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `Rules.make'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.26-1-686-smp'
make: *** [vmmon.ko] Error 2
make: Leaving directory `/tmp/vmware-config2/vmmon-only'
Unable to build the vmmon module.
--- <snim> ---

This problem would be solved if the file Rules.make was placed
in /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.2..../ directory.

linux-kernel-headers is kernel headers for glibc library. It's not
for your actual kernel headers. Use /usr/src/kernel-headers instead.
I close this bug.
