First of all, just double-checking - this affects mips but not mipsel,
correct?  And you can't tell the difference between them by uname,
IIRC.

Secondly, is a warning (rather than an error) acceptable, or do you
want an error?

Let me know and I'll take care of it (in the packages in experimental -
almost done now).
