Package: libc6
Version: 2.3.2-*

I upgraded my testing machines running a 2.5.68 kernel and INIT wouldnt
start.
When booting it says "Unfreeing unused kernel memory... " and just sits
there (not frozen).

The machines have no problem booting 2.4 kernels or even the 2.6.0-test
kernels, but only with some of the 2.5 kernels.
They problem is not present on stable, and goes away when downgrading
libc6 to 2.3.1-16

I tried 2.3.2-4 and 2.3.2-7, both behaved the same.

This is a kernel problem, not a bug in glibc. I suggest you upgrade
your kernel to 2.6, or downgrade it to 2.4.
