Package: libc6-dev
Version: 2.2.5-6
Arch: arm

Hi,
On ARM the include/asm directories are partially broken.
If you look in a Linux/kernel tree for ARM you will find that in
include/asm are some subdirectories of the form proc-* and arch-*,
in a configured ARM kernel linux/include/asm/proc is a symlink to one of
the linux/include/asm/proc- directories and similarly for
linux/include/asm/arch.

In the version of libc6-dev I seem to have (presumably off the woody
upgrade I've just performed) /usr/include/asm/arch and proc are both
empty directories, causing some other stuff (e.g. a recompile of the
debian X packages) to build.

I'm not sure if there is an easy way to figure out which one you
should link to - I suppose the answer is that you'll have to ask during
install if there is no alternative.

Thanks,

Dave

  Hi,

Turned out to be a dpkg bug, I made my unstable chroot by unpacking a
potato tarball, dpkging, and upgrading straight to unstable.

See bug 156463 for details.

Zeen,
