Package: base
Version: 20000209
Severity: important

I downloaded the boot and root disks, the base2 and drivers tgz files
dated Feb. 2, 2000. When the install asked if I wanted to keep the
devpts I already had (I assume from the install) I said yes. This file
/etc/init.d/devpts still had the incorrect bracket, causing the
install to break.

This report is for /etc/init.d/devpts.sh, and it should have been
sent to libc6 package, because that file belongs to it.

 $ dpkg -S /etc/init.d/devpts.sh
libc6: /etc/init.d/devpts.sh

But the current libc6 package (2.1.3-2) fix this bug, so I think
this report can be closed.

Please note: boot-floppies just use the standard Debian package
to build the most of the part of it. So the fix should be done
at each package, and the bug reports should be sent to the correct
package. Otherwise, the development of the boot-floppies will have
the difficulties with the handling (reassigning or closing) of
the reports which should have been sent to the correct package.
