You can override all the targets in debian/rules, but whether that is
appropriate is unclear.

What are your trying to achieve exactly?

I want to fix some lintian errors and each time I want to regenerate a .deb it take a lot for compilation. If I could try not clean the build files just for the whole project. I could test and move things a bit faster.

I will override them only for testing. once it is okay, before commit I will do a clean rebuild. That is okay for me.
