I found a little of time to try upload yesterday:

$ git-buildpackage --git-pbuilder --git-debian-branch=wheezy --git-dist=wheezy --git-pristine-tar --git-ignore-branch
------------

--git-ignore-branch fixed some trouble

Signing a chages file:
-----------
$ gpg --clearsign
------------

No idea why dsc file is invalid :(

Documenting the backports workflow would be really very helpful.
BTW I am still not have subscription to pkg-grass-devel :( so I first missed your communication.
