Hi all. I remember this was discussed several times, years ago, but I cannot recall the reasons of the final decision: why don't we have in the postgis package a make_template_gis script? It was present long ago, and I always found very convenient. The packages for other operating systems include this, and run it by default, so a new user has a much easier startup.
