I doubt it is viable. Before sarge I had to upload 3-4 times
the high-required proftpd with high-priority, with the result
that we have still a partially broken server in sarge due to
not-properly fixed issues of the last minute.
I would prefer some properly maintained backported d-gis etch packages
to that, honestly.
