Good grief, please, no. The last thing we want is to force an obviously
bad package through the NEW queue once only to have to force the same,
completely redone, source package through the NEW queue again. This is
*not* a good solution. It puts additional unnecessary strain on the
ftpmasters and in the end Alex's current packages *aren't* good enough
to be released with etch anyway so there's really no point in trying to
rush to upload them to unstable where they'll just sit and rot until
they're replaced by something viable anyway (much the way the last set
of packages has...).

I'll work on putting something together that's reasonable to upload
today. I've already noticed a couple of issues with the minimalist
package you originally posted (they're not hard to fix, just some files
in inappropriate places and whatnot) and I'll see about fixing those
today and will re-review Alex's package for features which should be
included in the Debian postgis package.

btw, I'm on freenode and OFTC as 'Snow-Man', I'll try and find you there
too...

	Thanks,

		Stephen
