using the following source in your /etc/apt/sources.lst:
deb http://pkg-grass.alioth.debian.org/debian-gis unstable main non-free
contrib
you will find postgis using libgeos2c2a, which is available both in
debian-gis and in unstable.

if you have privately built libgeos, you may also have to build postgis.
