Silke, the current maintainer, reads this list and can answer about his
program for an upload. I think grass57 can follow quite easily after
that. Grass package is a i386-only package currently, and due to
heavy resource requirements for building, it's better if we would 
supply alternatives archs manually. I was thinking essentially to
ia64 and amd64 if possible. Other suggestions?

BTW, we could also think to setup a proper pool
to manage a future debian-gis archive (with stable updates too). 
Alioth as is currently is not a valuable choice. 
Wichert Akkerman should upgrade to new-aliotoh 
this month, and probably we could have better chances to support
a decent pool. After that, mirroring around could also be considered.
