Package: gfortran-4.3
Severity: important
Tags: patch
Hi gcc-4.3 maintainers,
Could you please include the patch fixing gfortran PR35662 [1] available
from [2]? This issue is likely to break a fairly large amount of
FORTRAN code that has been compiled with optimization level -O1 or
greater with gfortran-4.3 on mips and mipsel.

[2] http://gcc.gnu.org/viewcvs?root=gcc&view=rev&rev=134352
(I apologize for not requesting this earlier, but the patch from gcc
upstream was not available until today.)
Release team: if such a release of gcc-4.3 is prepared, is there any
possibility of getting it into Lenny?
If it is possible to include this patch in a version of gfortran-4.3
that can be included in Lenny, then I will request bin-NMUs on mips and
mipsel for all packages containing libraries or binaries that both
(a) are linked against libgfortran.so.3 and (b) appear to use sincos{,f,l}.
I will post the list of packages that appear to be affected by PR35662
later today in a follow-up message to debian-release@lists.d.o.
best regards,
