I sent the two patches we had in 3.0 to the gcc mailing lists. Maybe
there's still a chance that they might be included in the actual
release. If not, it's no big deal.
Yesterday I ran a build of the 3.1 package as it is in your directory on
auric (ie without the special arm patches). It compiles OK, but the g++
testsuite is a bit of a disaster.
# of expected passes 6469
# of unexpected failures 364
# of unexpected successes 1
Most of the unexpected failures are this kind of thing:
FAIL: g++.dg/eh/dtor1.C (test for excess errors)
Excess errors:
/tmp/cchIptOA.o(.text+0x110): undefined reference to
`__gxx_personality_sj0'
/tmp/cchIptOA.o(.text+0x238): undefined reference to
`__gxx_personality_sj0'
