Why do you want to do that?
I receive your file and it's in man-db (and your name in the
man/THANKS). You probably have LANG=fr on your machine, and you know
well that your messages are there ;^)
A po file is the message catalog of the application.
We missed the manpages: man-db ships with 9 manpages.
