Hi folks, Is someone willing to update the PostScript Type 1 fonts in package fonts-urw-base35 to type OpenType (or TrueType)? Virtually no program on modern GNU/Linux distros still supports PostScript Type 1 fonts. This includes GIMP, Krita, LibreOffice. And removing fonts-urw-base35 (to manually install OpenType versions of the fonts) is a problem, because, for some reason, Ghostscript depends on it. See: $ sudo apt rdepends fonts-urw-base35 $ sudo apt rdepends libgs9-common $ sudo apt rdepends libgs9 Of course, the same suggestion/request for all other packages that still contain PostScript Type 1 fonts.
