Package: fonts-freefont-ttf Version: 20120503-4 Severity: normal Hello, Currently, the monospaced variant of the font (FreeMono.ttf) doesn't correctly set the PANOSE proportion value (bProportion) for the font. The version directly provided by the FreeFont project contains the correct PANOSE proportion value. The proportion value for the font should be 9, which marks the font as monospaced. Lacking this value and relying exlcusively on advance width leaves some environments unable to properly use the font. To set this value, see for example this post: https://superuser.com/a/372851 -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers trusty-updates APT policy: (500, 'trusty-updates'), (500, 'trusty-security'), (500, 'trusty'), (100, 'trusty-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13.0-85-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- no debconf information

The reduced number of glyphs is most probably due to the Braille range being dropped on purpose. - FabianAttachment: signature.asc
