Hello Fabian,

I can no longer reproduce the issue in stretch/sid, the font is correctly being reported as monospaced. The current package version does however contain less glyphs (3921) than the previous release (4177), but that can be handled in a separate issue.

does this problem still persist with the fonts-freefont packages currently
in testing and unstable? I am asking because they were built with a much
newer fontforge version.
