I think "version 1.10" needs parentheses or comma delimters; better yet, it probably doesn't need to appear in the package description at all. How about "This package provides the DejaVu fonts, an expanded version of the Vera family (version 1.10). How about "DejaVu currently works towards conformance with the MES-1 and MES-2 Unicode coverage standards.", or "currently conforms to" if the fonts actually do comply.
