No IPT rules. Just installed Debian with the two ethernet interfaces and
setup sysctl.conf. It was, how I have already written, working for the
last 5 releases from Slink to Etch.

I loged in as user and not root... ;-) and I use real UNIX account my
for my courier users. And because the machine do a little bit more...
