Take a look at your printk settings (/proc/sys/kernel/printk), I was
getting this problem too, so I changed the printk settings in sysctl to
"3 4 1 7". The first number is the log level of the console, "man 2
syslog" shows the levels down toward the bottom. I set it with
"kernel.printk = 3 4 1 7" in /etc/sysctl.conf.
