Re: but 4.4.1-1 is to be installed.
I'm not sure if this is related, but I just found a problem that has
crept in as of gcc-4.4-4.4.4-7 that seems related to the base package.
I just now noticed that for my build of the armel compiler, that from
gcc-4.4-4.4.4-6 to gcc-4.4-4.4.4-7, the package
gcc-4.4-arm-linux-gnueabi-base package is no longer being built, yet is
still listed in the control file and so gcc-4.4-arm-linux-gnueabi cannot
be installed without it. I have not changed anything else in how I
compile, but the package is no longer being generated as of the -7 update.
I looked in the emdebian pool
http://www.emdebian.org/debian/pool/main/g/gcc-4.4/ and I don't see the
-base package either for gcc-4.4-4.4.4-7 for armel.
I see something in the change log regarding the gcc-base package for
cross builds, but I'm not sure what was changed
* Build a gcc-base package for cross builds.
Is this the same bug, or something different?
