That got it, thanks.  I didn't realize there was an
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/emdebian.sources.list!

Russell King wouldn't take the patchset because I was submitting it with
support for only one Atmel chip, when it was proffered as a "generic"
API.  He wanted to see broader support in the initial submission.  Then
I got distracted with a couple of other things, and haven't had a chance
to come back to it.  Haven't even had time to set up a public git repo,
even...
