Well, it's just that the Intel drivers currently doesn't support
Little endian mode on 2.6 kernels. There's no deeper reason as such
why it couldn't be hacked to work. 

I didn't spend that much time on it as I already had an USB<->ethernet
adapter - I'm still waiting for a sufficiently motivated hacker to
come along and do the work for me ;)
