Well this might be a good thing, if its inner workings are clear, well
defined and documented..

Dpkg-cross is a lot about choosing the right (cross)-compiler, it is
therefore better to switch compilers than to try dpkg-cross let handle the
changes, no? That is the way I see it anyway, because it makes dpkg-cross
independent from the toolchain, c-library or whatever, increasing
flexibility.
