The only real problem that I see with emacs23-gtk is that several add-on
packages have not been updated yet to work with emacs23.  The other
differences are relatively small:

- The emacs23-gtk package links against libm17n-0 and libotf0 while
  emacs-snapshot does not to reduce dependencies.

- The set of patches differs somewhat.

- The manuals and some other files have been removed from emacs23-common
  for DFSG reasons; installing emacs23-common-non-dfsg brings them back.
