Package: fwupd
Version: 1.2.6-1
Severity: important

This bug: https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/1139
prevents fwupd from working because the firmware has the unsupported property. The bug exists in all debian versions and doesn't exist in the latest upstream version.

The end result is that fwupd is rendered unusable

tl;dr the error is this:

# fwupdmgr get-updates
cannot handle firmware requirement 'not-child'

Version: 1.2.9-1

I think you mean 1.2.9.

And yes, I can confirm that this issue is fixed with 1.2.9-1.

Hence closing the bug report since the debian/changelog entry didn't:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
fwupd (1.2.9-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream version (1.2.9)

JFTR: The provided Logitech firmware version from April though seems
to fix only one or two of the bugs reported recently. More are said to
be fixed in August and some are said to be never fixed.
