I am hit by the same error when trying to update my Logitech Unifying Receiver (current Firmware RQR12.03_B0025). This Update is higly recommended to fix some recent vulnerabilitis in the Firmware, see https://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Logitech-keyboards-and-mice-vulnerable-to-extensive-cyber-attacks-4464533.html. Therefore this bug should be tagged "securuty".
