Hi, compared to lightdm and gdm3, kdm greeter looks sort of strange. Obviously the design is a mix of old lenny/squeeze work overlayed with recent one. If the default joy theme was taken with only the background changed to the Debian Edu one, it would imo look far better and more consistent. To get an impression how it looks (recent kde installation): (1) remove everything in /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/debian-edu (2) copy everything from /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/joy -- exept background.svg -- to /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/debian-edu (3) copy /usr/share/wallpapers/debian-edu/debian-edu-wallpaper02_1600x1200.svg as background.svg to /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/debian-edu -- a symlink won't work.
